Q. Do I have to apply a base coat before I apply a colour?

A. For best results, and to avoid staining of the nail bed, we suggest you apply a base coat before your nail colour and a top coat to seal and prevent any chipping. It also as adds a nice shine & gloss to your finished manicure

Q. How does Crackle Effects work?

A. Apply one coat of Polished London Crackle Effects over two coats of completely dry and set nail colour. Watch the crackle effect take place and once dry add Polished London Glaze for the ultimate shine.

Q. How can I prolong the life of my nail polishes?

A. Store your nail polishes out of direct sunlight, and always ensure you secure the cap tightly. Make sure if there are any spillages down the bottle or around the neck you clean immediately to avoid hardening of polish around the cap.

Q. How can I avoid bubbles in my nail polish?

A. Rather than shaking up and down, roll the nail polish bottle between the palms of your hands back and forth.

Q. Does Polished London nail enamel contain formaldehyde?

A. No, we are pleased to promote a formulation that is 4 FREE! Which means our formulations do not contain any DBP or 'dibutyl phthalate' or camphor, which are forms of a plasticizer that makes nail polish flexible. We have excluded Toluene also which is a colourless liquid used as a solvent and of course no Formaldehyde. All these ingredients have research to suggest that they can be harmful to our bodies and we choose to provide you with safer alternatives.
